Last night I was on a mission to hit more than one mall. Mission accomplished and I have to tell you, it is time to be out and about on a wardrobe update. The prices are varied and even the recessionista/ fashionista/stylista (if there are such words!) should be out there to delve into that sartorial world. So I decided to check some fall upcoming swag:

RIchie Rich Fall 2009 Fashion show: Who says you cn't be mature and colorful?
She is Loyal glamour: feminine forms translate to French sophistication with sharp pencil skirts and stately ruffles. Thanks Essence.
Art and shoes go together. It’s that delicate piece that , worn well, can not be shunned. It’s the walk, the step of confidence in great shoes. That concept makes me want to walk miles and miles in some Dell Aqua’s…..
Art is a shoe on a woman's foot. Thank you to Fashizblack for this pic.
I have been away for awhile and have just been having the unfortunacy of being unconnected to the internet due to moving. I will get the carpet rolled out as soon as I settle into my new place. In the meantime, I will be doing some irregular posts. Please forgive me for that.
Wendell Lissimore (aka model and Ty Ogunkoya’s best friend) is working his handsome self into overtime. So dare not to be jealous of the prospects coming to this hard-working model. He is practically everywhere you look: from Toyko to Germany and from Germany to Macy’s and Macy’s to Mercedez Benz Fashion Week, this one is climbing mountains and getting there on time to plant the flag. Flawlessly sculpted, high-cheekboned, he is trully the model of the moment:

Wendell is so overtime taking on The Basic House, the trendy South Korean department store:
Meet the creations of Dior’s own master-mind, Kris van Assche. In a Paris season characterized by arcane inspirations, Kris van Assche found his in les hommes-fleurs, a tribe of Arabian warriors who unabashedly adorn themselves with flowers. He was equally turned on by photos of elegant old Van Assches from the Belle Epoque. So the central idea is that, there are different ways for men to be masculine. Check more of him here
Kris Van Assche Zip Boot retails for $995.
An epic collection for Kris Van Assche with a more edgy, street appeal. Also good to see a high fashion designer taking hi-tops seriously, which in my opinion can benefit any outfit you throw at them
A more classy take: A grunge effect:
grunge with potential to go into another style.
We already know Van Assche is both rigorous and romantic but we now also know that he’s able to mold one fashion into many adaptable versions. He can move from his dressy signature look into a more street vibe casual fit. Check out these grunge/hip-hop/streeter boots. They definitely have a range of style:
Arise featured these three beauties during the 2008 Africa Rising event. It was also a chance to feature couture/custom pieces by Nigerian designers: The supermodels (Naomi Campbell, Alek Wek & Liya Kebebe) were best dressed by Nigerian designers, Deola Sagoe, Fati Asibelua of MOMO Couture, Lanre DaSilva Ajayi of LDA. As I browsed through the magazine, I was overcome with glee. As a woman of African descent, I was proud to see that African fashion is booming.
American recessionistas may have Target but over in Canada….Joe Fresh is making some major traffic in the style lane.
We love it when we can find super chic directional pieces that won’t leave us broke come the weekend. Leave it to Joe Mimran and team to flawlessly deliver upbeat, wearable pieces that transition oh so beautifully. I’m adoring the snug cropped moto jacket – yup, it’s under $50, and the very Prada-esque grey ribbed cardie for only $30 to wear with your floral frocks and skinny leather pants. Don’t miss out- these sweet buys that have hit the floors @ www.joe.ca
They have shades of beauty.
Joe is just cool like that. As I was doing a grocery run….I passed by their makeup collection. Believe it or not, the shelves were almost bare! Everything is going quick. Before you turn a snooty eye at their affordable makeup, check them out. They have some great shades that will love black skin. What colors did I choose?
